ISDA Seminars

Seminars usually take place in NCSA by the end of a semester. They are intended for presentation of recent (semester time interval) progress made by the students, and occasionally by the stuff. The forum is a good opportunity for students to show the progress and to practise presentation skills and also to become familiar with the ongoing research in the group. We usually have some visitors from the NCSA director's office or from other units on campus.
The presentations are oral, about 20 minutes each with regular structure, namely Introduction (problem description, motivation), Overview (architecture, applications), Results (approach to solving the problem, prototype demonstration) and Conclusions (summary, future work).
